At your home, anywhere in Montreal
Computer lessons designed for beginners
Whether you have never touched a computer, or you get by and get stuck on the rest: either way, these are lessons for you. A patient student comes to your home, sits down beside you and explains. No jargon, no rushing, on your own devices.
What we can learn together
Every lesson starts from you: your device, your questions, your pace. Here’s what we’re asked most often:
- Getting comfortable with a tablet, an iPad or a new phone (iPhone or Android)
- Writing emails, attaching photos, video-calling your loved ones
- Finding, organizing and sharing your photos
- Browsing the internet and finding what you need, stress-free
- Spotting scams and protecting your passwords
- Booking appointments online, using government services, buying tickets
- Fixing the little things: printer, Wi-Fi, scary pop-ups
Don’t see what you need? Tell us, and we’ll build the lesson for you.
How it works
- You pick the topic and the format: 1 hr ($50), 1.5 hrs ($70) or 2 hrs ($90).
- We match you with a patient, pedagogical student, chosen for your needs and your neighbourhood.
- Your teacher comes to you: at home, in your residence or at a café nearby. You keep clear notes, written just for you.
Whenever possible, the same teacher comes back time after time: you learn better with someone you know.

What about free computer classes in Montreal?
They exist, and we would rather tell you. Montreal libraries and community centres run free introductory workshops. If waiting for a spot does not bother you and getting there is easy, that is a good place to start.
What those workshops do less well: they move at the group's pace, on devices that are not yours, and nobody comes to see why your printer refuses to answer in your living room.
With us there is no subscription and no credit card to leave: you pay at the end of the lesson, then decide whether you want another.
Computer, tablet or phone, you choose
The lesson happens on the device you already own, not on a training model. A Windows laptop, an iMac, an iPad, an Android tablet, an iPhone, a Galaxy: we sit down in front of yours, with your settings and your icons.
That matters more than it sounds. A move learned on a borrowed device is lost on the way home. The same move learned on your own screen, with your photos and your wallpaper, stays.
Many students start with the phone, because that is the one they always have on them. If you are torn between two devices, we can look at both in the same session.
Looking for a parent?
Many of our students are introduced to us by their daughter or son. If you’re looking for computer lessons for your father, mother or a loved one in Montreal, we’ve made a page just for you.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any computer experience?
None at all. We start from where you are, even from zero. No question is ever too small, and we repeat as many times as it takes, with a smile.
How is this different from a group class?
In a group class, everyone moves at the same pace, often too fast. Here, the lesson happens at your home, on your devices, and we only move on when things are clear. It’s your lesson, not the group’s.
Do you come to seniors' residences?
Yes, anywhere in Montreal: at home, in your residence, or even at a café nearby if you prefer.
Which devices do you teach on?
Yours: tablet or iPad, iPhone or Android phone, laptop or desktop computer, Windows or Mac, and the printer that goes with them.
Are there free computer classes in Montreal?
Yes. Libraries and community centres offer them, and we encourage you to go if the format suits you. The difference here: we come to your home, work on your own devices, and move at your pace rather than a group's.
Do you only teach on computers?
No. Computer, tablet, iPad, phone: the lesson happens on whatever you already own. Many students start with the phone, then move to the tablet once the first moves feel natural.
Do you come to my area?
We cover the island of Montreal, from Ahuntsic to Verdun by way of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. Give us your postal code on the phone and we will tell you right away whether a teacher is in your corner this week.
Who are the teachers?
Montreal students, chosen for their patience and teaching skills as much as for their knowledge. Whenever possible, you see the same teacher time after time.
How much does a lesson cost?
$50 for 1 hr, $70 for 1.5 hrs or $90 for 2 hrs, no tax and no subscription.
